There is a record! Vembanyama’s first jersey in the NBA was sold
The jersey worn by San Antonio center Victor Vembanyama in his first game in the NBA was sold for 762 thousand dollars at Sotheby’s. That’s an NBA rookie record.
We remember that Vembanyama made his debut in the overseas league in the match against Dallas on October 26 (119:126).
Let us also remind you that the largest amount collected in a jersey auction was 3.69 million dollars. This was a 1996 Kobe Bryant jersey that was sold at auction in 2021.
Victor Vembanyama, 19, became a Spurs player in June this year. This season, the center is averaging 18.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
