The famous house Sotheby’s – which has recently started working directly with the NBA – auctioned off the jersey in which Webby played in his first game in the NBA, expecting to “catch” $80,000 to $120,000, but ended up selling for the astronomical amount of $762,000 sold!
The price in question takes on even more outrageous proportions when one considers that the corresponding jerseys from the debut of superstars such as LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kevin Durant or Nikola Jokic were not auctioned for more than 50,000 dollars.
