Tyler Dorsey did not play in the Virtus-Fenerbahce game, although he is healthy
Tyler Dorsey, who is out of the rotation, didn’t get playing time at Virtus Bologna – Fenerbahce and the question of whether he will finish the season in Istanbul will be even more heated.
Tyler Dorsey’s second season at Fenerbahce is not going as well as the people at the club and the player himself would have expected. The highlight of the DNP, which appeared alongside the name of the expatriate guard on Thursday evening (November 23rd) in the away defeat against Virtus Bologna on matchday 10 of the EuroLeague.
With Fenerbahce finishing the game with 5/24 3-point shots (20.8%), the debate is whether Dorsey could offer more than Kalathy, Madar, Wilbekin, Mahmutoglu and Guduric, who were preferred in the defensive five. Of course there is no answer to that, but the fact that the now experienced goalscorer did not make a second appearance despite his health shows a lot about his relationship with the coaching team and perhaps also with the organization as a whole.
The rumors of the last few days may have played a role in Dorsey’s DNP in Bologna, while the debate over whether he will finish the year in Istanbul is set to intensify in the near future. In seven EuroLeague games, the National Guard has 10.4 points (37% on 2-pointers, 39% on 3-pointers, 82% on shots) as well as 2.1 rebounds and 2 assists per 22:35.
