The drama between Scott Foster and Chris Paul continues: Returning to Phoenix leads to expulsion
Twelve-time All-Star Chris Paul’s return to Phoenix ended in the second quarter. CP3 were sent off just before half-time by referee Scott Foster, the only rival they had not beaten so far.
The now-Golden State Warriors point guard and Foster have a long history of issues and exits, and this morning’s incident is just the latest evidence that there is something personal between the two. In his first game with Phoenix after leaving the team, Paul got into a lengthy altercation with Foster, resulting in his first technical foul. Foster tried to leave it at that and walk away, but Paul continued to scream, so the referee saw an opportunity and gave him another technique to get away with it.
After receiving a second technical that meant the match was over, CP3 delivered a more than clear “you bitch” dedication to Foster.
