Time for the draw for the pre-Olympics: The national team determines opponents for the qualification in Paris
An important day for the pre-Olympic tournament is today (November 27th) as the draw from FIBA takes place in Geneva.
FIBA is drawing the draw for the pre-Olympic tournament today, while also announcing the countries that will host the groups from which the final four tickets to the 2024 Paris Olympics will be drawn.
The draw is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. and will be streamed online by the official FIBA YouTube channel. The pre-Olympic tournaments will take place from July 2nd to 7th.
Greece is set to host the only pre-Olympic Games, which still need to be confirmed by the world governing body today. The games are expected to be played at the Peace and Friendship Stadium. The other three countries expected to organize the remaining groups are Spain, Latvia and Puerto Rico.
At each Pre-Olympics there are two groups of three teams each. No more than two European teams may be represented in a group. In addition, it is not possible to place more than three European teams in each tournament.
A maximum of one team from America, one from Africa and one from Asia and Oceania take part in each tournament.

- 1st group: Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovenia
- 2nd group: Brazil, Italy, Greece, Poland
- 3rd group: Puerto Rico, Montenegro, Dominican Republic, Finland
- 4th group: New Zealand, Georgia, Mexico, Lebanon
- 5th group: Croatia, Ivory Coast, Angola, Philippines
- 6th group: Egypt, Bahamas, Cameroon, Bahrain
