We defeated the Germans safely. Prometheus won its fifth match in the Eurocup

BC Prometheus (Ukraine) and BC Hamburg (Germany) met in the first match of the second round of the Eurocup regular season on Tuesday, December 5. The fight took place in Hamburg.

In the first five minutes, there was a more or less equal fight on the field. Starting from the middle of the first quarter, the Ukrainian team started to move away from the opponent. Prometheus entered the halftime with a 7-point lead – 26:19. In the second ten minutes, the Ukrainian club’s basketball players also played better than the home team. They controlled the course of the match and scored 26 points again. The first half of the match ended at 52:35 in favor of Titans.

After the break, Hamburg tried to push Ronen Ginzburg’s team but they managed to maintain control of the match and win the third ten minutes. The hardest quarter of this match for the Titans was the last quarter. The home team played comfortably, which allowed them to significantly reduce the difference in the score. At 2 minutes and 32 seconds before the siren, Prometheus’ lead was reduced to 7 points, although it was +20 at the beginning of the quarter. A few breaks helped the away team re-concentrate and lead the game to a crushing victory.

The most effective player of the match was center Ondjei Balvin with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

This victory was Prometheus’ fifth victory in the current Eurocup season. The team’s current result is 5 wins and 5 losses. Our next opponent is Beşiktaş. The match will be played on Wednesday, December 13.
