The caught Alba upsets Zalgiris in the final with an upset and scores his second EuroLeague victory
A two-pointer from Tieman and a three-pointer from Maticek in the final 39 minutes of the game gave Alba a 64-62 victory over Zalgris in Game 12 of the EuroLeague.
Alba Berlin celebrated only its second win after twelve EuroLeague games, winning 64:62 against Zalgiris. A two from Johannes Tiemann in 39 minutes and a three from Jonas Maticek in 6 minutes before the final decided the result after the guests remained goalless in the last 1:39 minutes of the game.
What’s even more impressive about this win is that Alba competed without Sterling Brown, Matt Thomas, Luis Olidi, Marcus Eriksson and Zyga Samar. Of course, Zalgiris also had to miss out as both Brady Manek and Arnas Butkevicius are injured.
0-6 points from surprise, 13-16 points from opponent’s mistakes, 11-2 points from second chances.
