Ibaka gives Bayern a boost, Edwards crushes Armani with 32 points
Great performance from Bayern Munich, who beat Armani 91:84 in overtime, after Serge Ibaka’s equalizing three-pointer and thanks to the orgies of Carsen Edwards, who scored 11 of his 32 points in overtime.
Bayern and Armani needed the extra five minutes to resolve their differences on matchday 12 of the EuroLeague. Pablo Lasso’s team was the one that smiled in the final, winning 91-84 (76-76) after Serge Ibaka gave them life with a game-winning 3-pointer 0.5 inches before the start of the game.
Ibaka played a starring role throughout the game and again posted a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds, but Carsen Edwards stole the MVP award from him after scoring 11 of his 32 points in overtime.
Somehow, Bayern climbed to 6-6 while Armani, who went to Germany without Nikola Mirotic, fell to 4-8. Savon Shields stood out from Ettore Messina’s team with 26 points.
