The performer Howard signed the fall of Baskonia from -15 and killed Fenerbahce
After Marcus Howard scored 28 points and the game-winning 3-pointer with 7 inches left, Baskonia rallied from a -15 deficit in the first half to beat Fenerbahce 80-79.
On Wednesday evening (June 12th) a great fight took place in the Buesa Arena. It was Baskonia who celebrated in the end, beating Fenerbahce 80-79 after Marcus Howard fired a boyish three-pointer off the top of the stick with 7 inches left. Marko Guduric tried to steal the win, but his shot hit iron.
Howard played a leading role throughout the game, providing 28 points (7/12 two-pointers, 4/13 three-pointers, 2/3 shots) and helping the Basques come back from -15 (16-31) in 13 minutes. In addition to Howard, Mike Kochar also had an excellent performance, recording a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Nigel Hayes-Davis scored 19 points (4/7 three-pointers), 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals for Fener. Marko Guduric followed with 14 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
