Former Mariupol basketball player faces 10 years in prison for treason
The Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office notified a resident of Mariupol in his absence of suspicion of cooperation.

Investigators have information that in May 2022, Vidyasov took the post of “head of the organizational and protocol sector of the department on internal policy issues of the Mariupol administration.” The “civil servant” who regulates the interaction of the city “administration” with illegal political parties and public associations is also responsible for the organization of public events and monitors the authorities’ compliance with the regulations. Moreover, according to the powers given to the occupiers, the suspect is also responsible for the census preparations.
Vidyasov faces confiscation of his property, a 15-year ban on certain activities and a maximum of 10 years behind bars.
