Mikal Bridges wins duel with Trae Young and crushes Atlanta Hawks
The Brooklyn Nets escaped with a win against the Atlanta Hawks almost at the last second. Two weeks after Atlanta won 147-145 in overtime against the Nets, the teams met again and the game was evenly matched, with Mikal Bridges emerging as the hero.
Bridges scored the game-winning goal with 4.5 seconds left, capping a stellar 32-point performance and neutralizing Trae Young’s 3-pointer that put his team ahead seconds earlier.
The Nets confirmed their best moment with the win, winning five of their last six games and sitting in play-in position thanks to an 11-9 record. Meanwhile, the Hawks suffered two consecutive losses and are now in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 9 wins and 11 losses.
