Korfas, Markopoulos, Bourousis in the A1 Hall of Fame
Korfas, Markopoulos and Bourousis entered the A1 pantheon before Jamball at the Karditsa All-Star Game.
John Korfas, Soulis Markopoulos and Yiannis Bourousis were inducted into the A1 Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon (December 17th). John Korfas said the honor he had received was great and thanked everyone who was at the Karditsa Stadium.
Soulis Markopoulos was more ashamed than anyone. Third in wins behind Zelimir Obradovic and Giannis Ioannidis, four decades in the league, the veteran coach admitted his emotions. And it was understood by one who heard him speaking with a trembling voice, saying: “Philippas Syrigos brought basketball into every home“.
Yannis Bourousis thanked ESAKE for awarding the All-Star Game to Karditsa and asked the players to start warming up. And that’s how it happened!
