The savior Kaklamanakis, the unstoppable Bryant and the imposing Milonas on matchday 13 of the Elite League
Matchday 13 of the Elite League is over, Panionios remains at the top thanks to Kaklamanakis, Milos comfortably beats Mykonos and Zach Bryant does terrible things for another week. Sportish presents you with a review of the 13th matchday.
The 13th round of the Elite League came to an end and interest in another match day was unbroken and combined with a rich spectacle.
Panionios managed to escape Evosmos by beating Amydas with a last-minute man named Dimitris Kaklamanakis and Milonas in a terrible offensive night against Mykonos, while Ermis Schimatarios’ Zak Bryant didn’t slow down the impressive performances.
Unstoppable
Zach Bryant is having an outstanding year in the Hermis Schimatarios jersey and is proving it every game day. The American guard was named the game’s Most Valuable Player for the third time this season in the Elite League thanks to his attacking performance that led his team to victory against Papagos. Bryant was on the floor for 33’58” and scored 29 points on 9/11 shooting, 7/9 two-pointers and 2/4 three-pointers. The 29 points he scored make him the best Scorer of the 13th shift in the season He also grabbed 6 rebounds, distributed 6 assists, made 2 steals and collected 32 points in the scoring system.
Attack… fire
Milonas won the game against Mykonos confidently, setting his pace from the second second and ultimately prevailing 92-73. The team from Nea Smyrni went full throttle after the first quarter and never looked back, claiming a comfortable victory. Karagianni’s players shot at a very good pace from behind the 6:75 meter line, scored 14 times in 34 attempts and scored a total of 42 points from the three-point line. The remaining 38 came from two-point shots (19/35), the other twelve from free throws (12/16).
Defense… reinforced concrete
Psychiko, with his “weapon” defense feature, significantly limited Esperos Lamias and managed to win 74-63. Giorgos Remendelas’ team held their opponents to 63 points and would hardly have been able to win with such a performance. In the end he scored 11 more points, which was more than enough for the positive result.
The basket
Dimitris Kaklamanakis was the man who gave Panionios victory at the home of Ayandas Evosmos with a decisive touch and kept Nea Smyrni’s side at the top of the table. The big Greek grabbed the rebound after a missed shot and, with a tip on the ball, caught the timer and scored to make the final score 71:70.

Flu outbreak in one of Europe’s best clubs. Championship match will be postponed
Greek “Panathinaikos” The team faced serious personnel problems due to the flu epidemic.
Eight players and three members of the coaching staff were immediately diagnosed with influenza A with severe symptoms.
Panathinaikos has shown good form in recent matches, but flu A has spread to Greece and has affected the team, which will most likely lead to the postponement of the Greek championship match against Maroussi, scheduled for December 27.
The problem is not only related to the championship match, but also to the derby against Olympiacos in the Euroleague, which is scheduled for January 2, as the epidemic prevents the team’s normal preparations.
Since many players have severe symptoms, no one can say for sure how the disease will progress and when everyone will be healthy.
The names of the sick people have not been disclosed at this time.
