On December 19, two matches of the Ukrainian Super League basketball took place. Fights took place in the Kyiv bubble.

BIPA lost to Cherkasy Mavpas 64:81

Cherkasy Mavp basketball players were the first players to make a small start for themselves and by the middle of the first quarter they had a lead of 7:0 – 14:7. However, BIPA calmly closed the gap and Odessa, which made a strong start to the second quarter, was already +10 ahead. Now Cherkasy Mavpy started playing thanks to Andrey Agafonov, who scored 22 points in the first half and added 5 rebounds and 4 assists. As a result, it was the Cherkassy team that entered the long break with a +5 victory.

The game did not change in the second half either, but BIPA began to worsen their chances, Agafonov continued to put his team ahead and Cherkasy Mavpy had already won by 15 points before the last quarter.

The fight did not work out in the last quarter and all the curiosity was whether Agafonov could break the scoring record of the Super League season, which Brantley Bynum had broken with 40 points against Mavp the day before. And the leader of the Cherkasy monkeys managed to score 41 points, adding 8 rebounds and 7 assists.

With two wins in three bubble matches played in Kiev, Cherkasy Mavpy took third place in the tournament table, while BIPA achieved 5 wins in 15 matches. The championship for both teams will continue in January.

Kyiv-Basket beat Old Lutsk 76:60

Dmitry Zabirchenko’s team completely controlled the game and took the lead in the score. The home team moved the ball better, attacked better and won the rebound. At the end of the match, the coach of the capital team distributed the load of the third match over three days, generally using players who had playing time.

Kiev-Basket defeated Old Lutsk for the second time this season and reached a positive balance between wins and defeats before the New Year break; It achieved 8 wins in 15 matches in the regular season. Old Lutsk remained in the penultimate ninth place, having suffered 10 defeats in the season.
