Former National Basketball Association (NBA) Development League player Chance Comanche has admitted to the murder of a 23-year-old woman who went missing in Las Vegas, FOX5 reports.

Investigators have revealed details in the case of Maraina Rogers, who went missing on December 5th. Police tracked the victim’s movements on the day of the alleged murder and identified the main suspects – 19-year-old Sakari Harnden and 27-year-old Comanche. The basketball player confessed to everything and during interrogation indicated the location of Rogers’ body in Henderson. Homicide investigators arrived on scene and found the deceased. Harnden and Comanche were arrested and each charged with murder.

Comanche admitted to police that he conspired with Harnden to kill Rogers. The basketball player said that the 19-year-old girl, with whom he had previously had a romantic relationship, had a conflict with Rogers. The correspondence history showed that the suspects initially tried to get a third party to commit the crime, and when that failed, they came up with a new plan. They managed to lure Rogers into the car by offering her sexual play for money. The girl herself allowed her hands to be tied, after which Comanche strangled her with a cable, and at that moment Hardnen was strangling her with her hands. After the murder, they left the victim in a ditch on the side of the road and threw stones at his body and smashed his phone.

Comanche played one game in the NBA as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers. After his arrest, he was released from the Stockton Kings, the farm club of the Sacramento Kings.
