Teodosic broke the counterattack, Red Star triumphed away in their stadium

On Thursday night (Dec. 21), the home team was away and the away team was the home team at Pioneer Hall. Maccabi welcomed Red Star to its home on matchday 16 of the EuroLeague. The Belgrade team won (98-92) thanks to the magical appearance of the ageless Milos Teodosic, who accomplished things and miracles.

Asteras climbed to 6-10 (5-3 home and 1-7 away), with Yannis Sfairopoulos seeing his leader continue the amazing performances of recent weeks. Mike Tobey, who has been heavily criticized in Serbia, was very good, followed by Rokas Giedraitis and Joel Boloboi on a night where practically no one was left behind.

Maccabi fell to 9-7 (6-4 home and 3-3 away), which continues to play on the road and this time simply didn’t have enough energy to match the determination of its opponents. Lorenzo Brown and Wade Baldwin were outstanding, Josh Niebo was good in the first half before disappearing in the second, but from there Oded Katas had a bad night and Bonzie Colson was…on a different field.

Teodosic finished the game with 27 points on 12 shots (2/3 2-pointers, 6/9 3-pointers, 5/5 field goals), had 14 assists (which is a career-high) and had 40 Points in the rating system which also approached (43). And all in 28 minutes against one of the most athletic teams in Europe.
