Historic fiasco in the Women’s EuroCup: The Turkish team traveled to London with five players and no coach
Parody in London in which the British authorities refused visas to several Bursa members who took part in a Women’s EuroCup match with five gymnasts.
The Women’s EuroCup experienced one of the worst evenings in its history on Thursday (December 21), as the Lions defeated Bursa 122-63 in the first playoff round of the tournament and advanced to the next phase. It’s just that Stella Kaltsidou’s team faced five athletes, as the British authorities did not grant visas to several members of the Turkish club, which competed in a forty-minute travesty without a man on the bench.
Bursa traveled with Umul Sar, Tuba Poiraz, Eda Sahin, Chanon Fluker and Mia Masic, who played all 40 minutes of the game. They finished the game with 17/43 two-pointers, 8/30 three-pointers, 5/7 shooting, had 34 rebounds (24-10), 22 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks, 17 errors and 57 Points in the scoring system, while the lines scored 29/50 two-pointers, 21/38 three-pointers, 1/1 shooting, 53 rebounds (39-14), 44 assists, 13 steals, 4 blocks, 9 turnovers and 183 points in the scoring system System.
