The Dallas Mavericks’ loss to the Los Angeles Clippers was especially painful for Luka Doncic. The Texans star was unable to lead his team to another victory and did not have a successful night at the rim.

Doncic finished the game against the best team in the NBA right now, going 9-of-25 from the field, including 2-of-11 from the field. Things didn’t improve much from the free-throw line, where he shot 8-of-14 for an improvement of 57.1%.

Those numbers translated into 28 points, along with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, meaning another triple-double for the Slovenian, but also ending the winning streak that put him in Mavericks history.

Doncic has scored 30 points or more in 11 consecutive games, a streak that began on Nov. 23 and reached 30 points in almost a month: 30 points against the Lakers, 30 points against the Clippers, and 30 points against the Rockets. 41 points in the game, 36 points against the Thunder, 40 points against the Thunder vs. Jazz, 32 vs. Blazers, 35 vs. Grizzlies, 33 vs. Lakers, 39 vs. Timberwolves, 40 vs. Blazers again, and 38 vs. reigning champion Nuggets. .
