Detroit breaks an NBA record. The team lost 26 matches in a row
The Detroit Pistons lost to Brooklyn in an NBA regular season game, extending their current regular season losing streak to 26 games. This is a repeat of the Union’s anti-record of a series of failures in one season.
If Detroit loses the next game (again to Brooklyn), it will be the only owner of such “success” with 27 consecutive defeats.
Currently, Detroit, Cleveland (2010/10) and Philadelphia (2013/14) have all suffered 26 consecutive defeats in one season.
But Detroit still needs to try to be the worst team in NBA history because the longest losing streak belongs to Philadelphia – 28 games.
However, this series lasted until the end of the 2014/15 season and the beginning of the 2015/16 season.
The Pistons were 2-27 this season, and the team last won in October.
