Six-time NBA champion and two-time Olympic winner Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in history according to Sportico.
The publication calculated the total salary of all athletes taking into account inflation.
First place in the ranking was taken by basketball player Michael Jordan, who earned $3.7 billion during his career, taking into account inflation.
Golfer Tiger Woods is in second place with earnings of 2.66 billion. Rounding out the top three highest paid athletes in history is football player Cristiano Ronaldo with 1.92 billion.
