Parma center Richard Solomon said Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, under whom he played in the G League, had the greatest influence on his development.
— As for my very first coach, I don’t even remember his name. I would mention Mark Daigneault. When I played under him in the G-League, he helped me become a real man, helped me with how to lead my life and approach work, how to cope with difficulties. Now he’s the head coach of Oklahoma, it’s crazy!
He was the first coach in my life with whom I had long conversations about things other than basketball. He was the first one I truly understood. I got a lot of good things from him. I can call him at any time, ask for advice, talk to him, find out how he is doing. This is great,” Championship quotes Solomon.
