Zenit reached the semi-finals of the VTB United League

St. Petersburg Zenit won at home over Yekaterinburg Uralmash in the fifth match of the quarterfinal playoff series of the VTB United League.
The meeting ended with a score of 86:83 (24:15, 23:26, 22:18, 17:24) in favor of the hosts. The most productive player of the match was Octavius Ellis from Uralmash, who scored 26 points. Kyle Kuric scored 22 points for Zenit.
The score in the best-of-three series became 3-2 in favor of Zenit. In the semi-finals of the tournament, the St. Petersburg team will meet with Moscow CSKA, which in the quarterfinal series turned out to be stronger than Krasnoyarsk Yenisei (3-0). The finalists of the previous drawing, UNICS Kazan and Lokomotiv-Kuban, will play in the other semi-final.
