A trading card featuring six-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion Michael Jordan in his debut season sold for a record $925,000, journalist Darren Rovell reports on social media.
The card was sold in May, the buyer and seller wished to remain anonymous. The previous record was held by Jordan’s 1986 card, which fetched $840,000 three years ago.
Jordan, 61 years old, played for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards during his playing career. As a member of the US team, he became a two-time Olympic champion.
