Pascual extended his contract with the Zenit basketball club for one year

St. Petersburg’s Zenit has extended its contract with the team’s head coach, Javier Pascual, according to the basketball club’s website.
The 51-year-old Spaniard’s new contract runs until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The upcoming season will be Pascual’s sixth at the helm of the “blue-white-blues”. Under the specialist’s leadership, Zenit became the champion of the VTB United League, won the Russian Cup, twice the United League Super Cup, and debuted in the Euroleague playoffs.
Pascual is the most decorated coach in the history of the “blue-white-blues”, and the club’s record holder for the number of matches played.
Last season, Zenit won bronze in the United League.
