Switzerland They defeated Great Britain with a landslide victory of 21 to 10. Serbia They defeated the Netherlands 21-16 in one of the most heated matches of the tournament so far.

It was also one of the quickest scores, as the Serbian scored 21 points for an automatic win with about two minutes left in the game.

The Netherlands, winners of the event at the Paris Olympics, and Serbia, five-time European champions, played out a frenzied and highly physical match, but in the end it was the quality and restraint of the Balkans that prevailed.

Strahinja Stojacic, the world number one player in the sport, once again led his team and went from strength to strength, scoring eight of 21 points on and off the track against opponents whose nerves belied the strong pressure from Serbia, and in the stands packed with excited fans.

Switzerland and Serbia will face off this Sunday for a place in the European Championship final in Vienna.

Spain will face Austria this Saturday for a place in the semi-finals.

The Spanish team continued their incredible journey, beating Germany 21-18 in the quickest match of the tournament and then beating Serbia 21-15 to reach the quarterfinals.
