Three NBA Boston fans injured in drone crash on game day
Fans of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Boston Celtics team were injured after a drone crashed near the club’s arena, Fox News reported.
On Tuesday, basketball fans gathered at City Hall Square to celebrate the Celtics’ recent championship. The incident occurred shortly before the team’s first match in the 2024/25 NBA regular season against the New York Knicks (132:109).
According to Boston police, at least three people were injured during the event due to the fall of the drone, and one woman was hospitalized.
“I heard a loud sound, then I felt something hit me on the head. I was very scared and heard the woman next to me screaming, it seemed like she was about to fall,” said one of the victims.
Boston is the most titled club in the NBA, the team has become champion 18 times.
