“I’m interested in playing any match at the international level.” Karpenko – about the “Friendship Cup”

CSKA defender Vladimir Karpenko, who received a call to the Russian national team for the first time, told Match TV that he was very glad to be invited to the national team and was looking forward to his first match at the international level.

The Russian national team will play against the teams of Tunisia and Libya as part of the Friendship Cup. The tournament will take place in Moscow from November 22 to 24. On November 22, Zoran Lukic’s team will meet with Tunisia, and on November 24 with Libya.

I want to justify the trust of the coaching staff and prove myself as part of the national team. Little is known about the national teams of Libya and Tunisia, but I think the coaching staff will analyze their games, and we will get acquainted with their strengths and weaknesses.

— Matches with African teams are a new experience for our team. Perhaps this is interesting?

— For me personally, it’s always interesting to play any match at the international level. It will be my first time to have this international experience; it is very important. So we will prepare,” Karpenko told Match TV.
