SB Nation expects Yegor Demin to be the third pick in the 2025 NBA Draft
Experts from SB Nation published a forecast for the 2025 NBA Draft, placing Russian point guard Yegor Demin in third place on the list.
In November, 18-year-old Demin was named the Big 12 NCAA Rookie of the Week twice in a row. He plays for the Brigham Young University team.
— The 206 cm tall Russian guard is a talented playmaker who has amazing court vision. Demin will play in a pick-and-roll style, and although he is not very quick to react, he always keeps the situation under control. He looks like one of the most promising players at his position, writes SB Nation.
On November 28, the Brigham Young University team will play against the Ole Miss Rebels as part of the NCAA regular season.

Basketball player Elatontsev, who left Lokomotiv-Kuban, signed a contract with the NCAA team
The Oklahoma Sooners University of Oklahoma team, which plays in the North American student league NCAA, announced on its official website that it has signed a contract with Russian basketball player Kirill Elatontsev, who has a valid agreement with the Krasnodar club Lokomotiv-Kuban.
In November, Lokomotiv-Kuban announced that Elatontsev was likely faking signs of illness in order to avoid taking part in matches. Then the center voluntarily left the club and flew to the USA. In December, Match TV reported that Lokomotiv applied to the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in order to prohibit Elatontsev from moving within competitions under the auspices of the organization.
“First of all, we are glad that Kirill is here, because the path to this moment has been long. He’s older and has played against some really tough opponents, which will also help us in league games. In addition, he has an excellent shot from under the hoop. “We’re excited about his arrival and we’re working to get him acclimated to our program, our system, so he can help us as quickly as possible,” Oklahoma head coach Porter Moser said.
The release notes that Elatontsev can play for the team.
Elatontsev is 23 years old and made his debut for the main team of Lokomotiv-Kuban in 2021. The center was recognized as the best young player in the VTB United League for two seasons in a row.

NBA: Barnes’ powerful triple-double, Detroit defeat and Lakers victory
Six games were played in the NBA regular season on the night of December 28-29.
Toronto hosted Golden State and earned a hard-fought overtime victory.
The Raptors had a better first quarter, during which they broke away from their opponent by 10 points (33:23), but the Warriors leveled this difference quite quickly and by the end of the second quarter they were already +6 – 56:50. However, they were unable to maintain their advantage, at least until the big break when the home team took the lead at 65:64.
In the third quarter, Golden State took the initiative and took the lead by 12 points (95:83), but at the end of the quarter, Toronto made an 8:0 move, reducing the gap to 4 points (96:100). However, the guest team started the fourth quarter better and stayed two or three shots away from their opponents. This continued until the middle of the quarter, and then Toronto slowly began to close the gap, tying the score at 120:120 47 seconds before the siren, thanks to Quickley’s three-pointer. Podzemski then hit a two-pointer to put the Warriors back in front, but Barnes responded with a two-pointer with 24 seconds left in the quarter, sending the game into overtime. The home team started the match with a score of 10:0 and then calmly maintained its advantage with a score of 141:127 and scored 5 points in 5 minutes.
Barnes recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 25 rebounds and 10 assists for Toronto. The most productive player of the match was Curry, but the 39 points he scored did not help the guest team win.
The Clippers hosted Detroit and won a sensational victory.
The home team was ahead by 19 points (33:14) in the first quarter, and then remained ahead throughout the entire match, reaching its maximum advantage of 26 points (95:69) at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Before the end of the game, the opponent regained half of this handicap, but this did not help the Pistons fully return to the game. As a result, the Clippers earned a landslide victory with a score of 112:99.
The most productive player of the match was Leonard, who achieved a double-double by scoring 55 points and collecting 11 rebounds, which was almost half of the Clippers’ entire set.
The Lakers defeated Sacramento after a series of underachievement.
Özernye, who took the initiative from the beginning of the game, gradually increased his advantage, won all quarters of the match and was defeated with a score of 125:101.
For the Lakers, Doncic scored 34 points and Ayton had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
