“I got into so much trouble because of this.” Kyrie Irving on “flat Earth” talk

Olympic basketball champion and the first pick of the 2011 NBA draft Kyrie Irving clarified his words about the “flat Earth”, noting that he had difficulties because of it.
Irving has been playing for the NBA team Dallas since 2023. In 2017, he stated that he is a supporter of the flat Earth theory.
— Do I still think the Earth is flat? I got into so much trouble because of this. You have to be careful with this because many people believe that the Earth is flat, many others believe that it is round,” Irving said on Kai Senate’s podcast.
Irving is 32 years old. He was selected first overall in the 2011 NBA draft by Cleveland. The guard is an NBA champion. As a member of the US team, he won the Olympic Games and the World Championships.
