Basketball player Timma’s father does not believe reports of his son’s death

Raitis Timma, the father of basketball player Janis Timma, said he does not believe reports of his son’s death.

The body of a 32-year-old basketball player was discovered on the night of December 17 in the entrance of a five-story building in the center of Moscow. According to preliminary data, he committed suicide.

– I don’t know anything yet. I want to find some contacts, I don’t know who I should contact there. We had conflicts for three years, I was blocked everywhere. I can’t get into this whole story at once. Our relationship was terrible and scary. I have a friend who read about this somewhere at seven in the morning, and that’s it, but now it’s already being talked about everywhere. We need to know for sure that it is him. Maybe there is hope that this is not the case,” Super quotes the father of the basketball player.

Earlier it became known that Timma officially divorced singer Anna Sedokova. They were married for four years and had no children together.

Janis Timma’s last professional club was the Spanish Obradoiro, for which the player played in the second half of the 2023/24 season. In Russia, Timma played for Zenit St. Petersburg, Khimki near Moscow and UNICS Kazan.
