Zenit expressed condolences over the death of basketball player Timma
The St. Petersburg basketball club Zenit expressed condolences over the death of Janis Timma.
The body of a 32-year-old basketball player was discovered on the night of December 17 in the entrance of a five-story building in the center of Moscow. According to preliminary data, he committed suicide.
Timma played for the Blue-White-Blues from 2015 to 2017.
“The Zenit basketball club expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of Janis Timma, who tragically died tonight in Moscow,” the message says.
Earlier it became known that Timma officially divorced singer Anna Sedokova. They were married for four years and had no children together.
Janis Timma’s last professional club was the Spanish Obradoiro, for which the player played in the second half of the 2023/24 season. In Russia, Timma also played for Khimki near Moscow and UNICS Kazan.
