UNICS expressed condolences on the death of Timma
The UNICS basketball club expressed condolences over the death of Janis Timma.
The body of a 32-year-old basketball player was discovered on the night of December 17 in the entrance of a five-story building in the center of Moscow. According to preliminary data, he committed suicide.
Timma played for the Kazan club in 2021.
“The UNICS basketball club mourns and expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” the club said in a statement.
Earlier it became known that Timma officially divorced singer Anna Sedokova. They were married for four years and had no children together.
Janis Timma’s last professional club was the Spanish Obradoiro, for which the player played in the second half of the 2023/24 season. In Russia, Timma also played for Zenit St. Petersburg and Khimki.
