Will you return from the Russian team? This is the position of the Euroleague
The Ukrainian War changed three years ago, when the Euroleague developed without a Russian team, and was excluded from various sports competitions due to conflicts launched by the country. CSKA, Zenit and Unis Kazan in Moscow, St. Petersburg, were challenging the 2021-22 edition following the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 28, 2022.
Just a few days ago, Serbian Golanzavic, director of the Euroleague Coach Association, was convinced that the Russian club would rejoin the Euroleague in the next 2025-26. The Euroleague manager’s response is not waiting.
“We’re used to Golan Savik’s comments that don’t match Euroleague status,” said CEO of Lithuania’s Paulius Motierjunas, located in the middle of his country’s krepsinis.net. “I don’t think his words reflect the thoughts of the Euroleague coach.”
Motiejunas said, “It’s about his individual opinions that make us indifferent. Each has an opinion, but it does not reflect the Euroleague position. We are constantly communicating with the managers of the Russian club to assess the situation.
