Lithuanian women’s team in basketball is suspected of harassment
The Lithuanian Basketball Federation (LKF) began an investigation against the head coach of the women’s national team Rimantas Grigas due to a possible non -appropriate specialist behavior, according to the organization’s website.
Earlier in the Lithuanian media, it was noted that the basketball players of the Lithuanian national team complained of manifestations of harassment by Grigas.
– LKF seriously reacts to accusations against Grigas and begins the investigation, trying to find out as many circumstances as possible. Any persecution or accusation of such behavior is a very delicate topic, such behavior is incompatible with ethical and moral standards. The investigation will be as impartial and objective as possible, ”said Dominicas Domarkas, general secretary of LKF.
In accordance with the rules of the International Basketball Federation, the questionnaire will be compiled and sent to all players who participated in the latest qualifying matches of the European Championship. Grigas himself will also be given the right to answer.
