Two -time Olympic champion in basketball Tatyana Ovechkina and Olympic champion Ivan Pivshko received honorary signs of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation “Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports”, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Mikhail Degtyarev said in the Telegram channel.

On March 19, Tatyana Ovechkina turned 75 years old. She won the Olympic Games twice (1976, 1980), won the World Cup (1975) and six times became the European champion (1970, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1980).

On March 25, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Coach of the USSR and Russia, the champion of the Olympic Games – 1972 as part of the USSR national team Fine is 80 years old.
