The Council of the Unified League VTB approved the composition of the participants of the season – 2025/26
The Council of the Unified League of VTB was held in Moscow, at which the composition of the participants, the format and regulations of the championship of the season – 2025/26 were approved, the League press service reports.
11 teams will play in the new season: Avtodor, Yenisei, Zenit, Lokomotiv -Kuban, MBA -MAI, Paris Nizhny Novgorod, Parma, Samara, Uralmash and CSKA.
Astana will not be able to continue participating in the Unified VTB League, but at the same time he will play in the Youth League championship.
In the Unified Youth League, VTB will take part in 14 teams – youth groups of clubs of the main championship, as well as the youth projects “Astana”, “Minsk” and “Himmok”.
According to the Rules of the Unified VTB League, 11 teams will play in the regular championship 4 circles each with each (2 games at home and 2 games on the road). According to the results of the regular season, the 8 best league teams will be determined, which will enter the playoffs. Stages of the play -in in the upcoming season will not be due to the density of the calendar.
The champion will decide in the playoffs: as in the last two seasons, the quarter -final series will take up to three victories, the semifinal and final – up to four victories, the series in 3rd place – up to three victories.
