The President of the Russian Federation of Basketball (RFB) Andrei Kirilenko told Match TV that Nika -Luzalez and the Russian women’s team can play in the opening match of the new basketball center in Syktyvkar.

At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum of the RFB, the Komi government and the Luzalem company signed an agreement on the cooperation and construction of the Basketball Center of the RFB.

– Great news for the entire Russian basketball! A chic new object with arenas for 3,000 and 750 spectators, a hotel, gymnastics and hockey centers. It is very important that there will be centers of adaptive basketball and hockey.

This center is the next project under the construction in Kaliningrad, Arkhangelsk, Chelyabinsk and Vnukov.

Special thanks to the leadership of the Komi Republic represented by Governor Rostislav Goldstein. Taking such an important and responsible project is a big step. The head of Luzalem Ruslan Semenyuk is not only a large fan of basketball, but also a locomotive of the project.

Syktyvkar and Komi become a real basketball region with a developing infrastructure. I hope that the project will end in the deadline, and maybe faster and at the opening match of Nika -Luzalez will play against the Russian national team, ”Kirilenko said Match TV.
