The women’s team of Belgium beat Spain in the final of the European Basketball Championship.
The final meeting, which took place on Sunday in Greece, ended with the victory of the Belgian team with a score of 67:65 (18:19, 13:18, 18:15, 18:13).
The Belgian team for the second time in history won the European Championship. In 2023, the Belgian team also beat the Spanish national team – 64:58.
The Spanish national team has four victories at the continental championship. The first place in this list is occupied by the Russian team (taking into account the victories of the USSR national team), which won gold medals 24 times.
In the match for third place, the Italian team outplayed the France team – 69:54 (23:22, 19:14, 11: 9, 16: 9).
The matches of the female Eurobasket -2025 were accepted by four countries: the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and Greece.
