The high choice of the Russian basketball player Yegor Demin on the NBA draft was a loud event and delighted all basketball lovers in Russia. But even before the debut, the talented Brooklyn player managed not only to rewritten records, but also to glorify his native language.

The main basketball talent of Russia

It is difficult to imagine how Demin’s career in the NBA will turn out, but Yegor has chic data and great talent. Last season, the Russian basketball player forced to speak American experts about himself. Being a debutant, the player was on the leading roles in the team of the University of Brigham Yang, which performs in the main basketball forge of personnel – the Liga of the National Student Association (NCAA).

Dyomin could continue to play student basketball, but after a long thought he still decided to participate in the 2025 draft, where he was originally prophesied at the beginning of the second dozen. But in the camp of potential newcomers, the Russian showed himself simply perfectly, conquering the minds of scouts.

But what happened in the draft was a pleasant surprise for many. Brooklyn spent a very high eighth peak of the first round on Demin, which has already become a record for Russian basketball players in history.

The NTS press service immediately began to actively promote a beginner. In the team of teams on social networks, there were already nine posts in a row dedicated to a promising Russian. It is understandable, because Yegor has become the highest choice of the team after moving, and since then 13 years have passed.

Brought a pinch of Russia in the NBA

On June 1, NTS staged a presentation of beginners, where Egor was assigned a special role. The Russian told why he chose an unusual 8th number for himself, because earlier he played under the third and ninth numbers.

– For the most part, this is due to my choice in the draft, but this is just a very beautiful number. I always liked him, but there was no real opportunity to take it. I think that he is really good and looks like infinity, ”Dyomin said in an interview with the club’s press service.

The stories about the number are the plus minus every player, but what has become a real chip of Yegor is a special spelling of the surname. Instead of standard English letters on the player T -shirt, the Russian letter “Yo” flaunts – demin.

But in the press service they did not limit themselves to a shirt. There they decided that it is important to emphasize the nationality of the player. Now, even in articles on the official website of the club and in posts on social networks, the surname of the basketball player is written with the Russian letter. Needless to say, not a single player in history has been honored with such an honor.

Mediyno Yegor has already loudly declared himself, there was a matter of small – to win a place in the composition and love of fans. And Damina has all the makings for this, the main thing is to correctly implement them.
