The former coach of the basketball CSKA Mikhail Stepanov died
The former coach of the Moscow CSKA Mikhail Stepanov died at the 82nd year of his life, the press service of the Russian Federation of basketball (RFB) reports.
– The RBO expresses condolences to the family of Mikhail Lvovich Stepanov. We grieve with you, ”the organization said.
Stepanov was the administrator of CSKA from 1968 to 1974, during which time the team won the USSR championship five times and twice became the owner of the European Champions Cup. He also trained the male and female teams of CSKA, with him the army team became champions in 1983 and 1984. In 2013, he was recognized as an honorary judge of the International Basketball Federation.
