The assistant of the NTS coach Steve Hitzel explained why the Russian still does not get much chance of peak-n roll.
– I would say that everything is developing naturally. The physical struggle at this level is what he still has to get used to. We have already seen his ability to play peak-n-roll in college, and he will definitely get used to it.

Dyomin does not hide that adaptation to the NBA is not easy.
– This is really a big step forward – similar to the one that I did when I only entered the college and began to play in the conference matches. I can’t say that this was the best experience in my life, but it turned out to be very useful: such meetings hardened me and prepared for the most important part of the season – “March madness” when I was already fully performed at the position of the player. Matches with “Houston”, “Iowa State”, “Arizona”, “Baylor” – teams who tried with all their might to break rivals, and especially me when they saw my high dribbling. The coaches literally shouted to them: “Davi! Davi! “
For me, this is a matter of time and adaptation – you need to get used to this level of pressure. I try to work more with the ball in training, and thanks to our guys who do not give me concessions in defense: they all take care of me in training, and this is really difficult. For a 19-year-old Russian, the Summer League is the first step in the NBA. He already impressed the audience with spectacular moments and began to live up to high expectations.
