83-88: Schroeder explodes last and takes German Germany

It was on the way to a major disappointment in the final, but the stars are what they have. They hide for hours to appear at their greatest brightness when darkness reigns. Dennis Schroeder exploded to determine an extraordinary battle between Germany and Turkey with robbery and rebound in the final 75 seconds of the game, taking the German team to unite the title of European champion world champion. Both teams were able to win in alternative matches and win with very short advantages of each other, but Schroeder’s genius, who chose the more valuable player (MVP) of the tournament, chose Balance (83-88) (83-88).

The success confirms Germany as the ruler of European basketball and Spanish heir. The Germans were already bronze in previous Europe, then gold was hung at the 2023 World Cup, reaching the Olympic semi-finals in Paris (room), and now they’ve returned to the top of this Eurobasket podium. Meanwhile, Türkiye equals its best historic results, with Silver winning in 2001 at the Eurobasket.

Elgin Ataman pointed out to Eve, “I’ll reach the final and that’s what I’ll win.” And for many minutes it seemed Türkiye had more options than Germany. This seemed like an extraordinary start (13-2), but in the second part of Trench Wars, where the points progressed with the least difference, it almost always had the greatest advantage of up to 5 points (71-66), six minutes from the end.

Theis’ triple (his first point) gave Germany the second time in the last quarter. Excellent throughout the game, Shane Larkin moved the Ottomans forward again at the entrance, but from there Schrade took over the ball to determine the final.

The base, which played the first half (two points), had already begun to let go after the break, but six losses made the point unclear. But at a brave point, it was the best on the Riga truck. First, a tray to the table with a left and a higher elevation, then a shot from 5 meters, and finally a two-free throw to seal the team’s victory. Between Shipahi’s robbery and an offensive rebound. Alperen Senggan, whose clear favourite for MVP (28 points) was a clear favourite a few minutes ago, had to bow in front of the magician in the Tight Finals, which ended with 16 points and 12 assists.

Technical File

Judgments: Matthew Lee Cario (Canada), Adair Zurapović (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Johann Rosso (France). Without elimination.

Incident: The final of Eurobasket 2025 at Riga Arena (Latvia).

However, it is unfair to forget the previous work of other German players. If the game came equally in these final two minutes, it was thanks to the extraordinary performances of two secondary performances, such as Isaac Bonga (MVP of the Finals) and Johannes Thiemann. Party’s party made it all and ended up as the most valuable player in the final after signing 20 points (4/4 triples), five rebounds and three assists. Meanwhile, PowerWing has once again demonstrated that he is one of the most underrated players in European basketball, scoring big defensive actions and seven points at key moments in the game. He also specifically mentions Tristan da Silva’s three triples and Andreas’ three triples. First half Imperial Franz Wagner scored only two of his 18 points in the second division.

Cedi Osman (23 points on 6/9) gave the replica at Türkiye. However, Ataman has fewer works than Germany, and it didn’t give a fresh end.

Zaporozhye coach: “It was a serious challenge for our team”

Head coach of BC Zaporozhye Dmitry Shchiglinsky He summarized the results of the team’s last matches in 2025 against Krivbass (68:84) and Niko-Basket (78:67).

“Going into the last calendar bubble this year we clearly understood how important this was for us in terms of tournament position. “Krivbass” were right behind us in the table and “Niko-Basket” were playing at home, so both matches promised to be extremely difficult. We were also without our captain Anton Buts, who was injured, which significantly affected the preparations.

We had a bad start to our match against Krivbass, the opponent scored their first long range shots, became confident and kept control of the match for most of the game. We managed to reduce the difference to 4 points in the fourth quarter, but unfortunately we did not have the strength to do more. Krivbass’ last attack with 11:0 gave them an important victory. In the absence of Anton Buts, they had to use rotation and it was not easy for Vyacheslav Kiktev to counter the opponent’s big players.

Our expectations were also the highest for our second match against Niko-Basket. We recently met with this team at the Ukrainian Cup and made a comprehensive analysis. I would like to thank my assistant for her quality work. We analyzed the mistakes in the previous match in detail and focused on playing defense. Even though we made many interventions at the beginning of the match, we could not immediately gain the scoring advantage. The team added more after the first quarter. There were quick breaks, easy points and a more organized attack, and these ultimately brought results. We got the win we needed.

Overall, I am happy with the results of this dough. We maintained our place among the top four teams in the Super League, so I evaluate the performance positively. Playing without one of the starting five players is a serious challenge for our team. I thank the men for their character; “After the defeat in the first match, no one gave up and the next day we played a high-quality game, first of all, as a single team.”
