Former Miami Hit guard is accused of selling stolen T -shirts for $ 2 million
A former employee of the Security Service of the NBA club “Miami Hit” is accused of selling stolen t -shirts and other paraphernalia, reports ESPN.
The 62 -year -old Marcos Thomas Peres was charged with transportation and transfer of stolen goods.
In April, law enforcement agencies searched the Person House and seized about 300 stolen gaming T -shirts and other valuable things.
The indictment says that Perez sold these things to online brokers. According to preliminary data, over three years, Perez realized more than 100 stolen things worth about two million dollars and transported them across the borders of the States.
For example, Perez sold the Miami Hit T -shirt, in which Lebron James played in the NBA final for about 100 thousand dollars. Later, the same T -shirt was sold at the Sotheby’s auction for $ 3.7 million.
Perez, the retired police veteran of Miami with 25 years of experience, worked at Hit from 2016 to 2021, and from 2022 to 2025 he was an employee of the NBA Security Service.
