Michael Jordan’s son was ordered to apologize to a police officer and do 50 hours of community service – media
Marcus Jordan, the son of six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan, has entered into an agreement with prosecutors and will be able to avoid criminal prosecution, reports TMZ Sports.
In February, Marcus Jordan was arrested and booked into the Orange County Jail for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest, as well as on suspicion of possession of cocaine. Jordan was arrested when his car became stuck on railroad tracks in Maitland, Florida.
The son of a star basketball player insulted a police officer during an arrest, shouting his father’s name and making disparaging remarks about police.
According to TMZ Sports, Marcus managed to reach an agreement with prosecutors to stop criminal prosecution. In exchange, he will be required to undergo random drug testing, make a $1,000 donation, perform 50 hours of community service and complete other requirements, including writing a 250-word letter of apology to the officer who arrested him.
