Zenit beat Dubai and will play with CSKA in the VTB United League Super Cup final
Zenit from St. Petersburg beat the Dubai basketball club in the semi-finals of the VTB United League Super Cup.
The meeting in Belgrade ended with the victory of the Russian team with a score of 107:103 (19:24, 25:30, 28:29, 35:20).
For Zenit, Alex Poythress scored 25 points and Nenad Dimitrijevic scored 23.
Dubai has 25 points from Janan Musa, former Zenit player Dwayne Bacon scored 21 points. Former CSKA basketball player Alexa Avramovich did not take part in the match.
Zenit will play against CSKA Moscow in the final of the tournament, which will take place on Thursday, September 25.
The Super Cup is the official pre-season tournament of the VTB United League, preceding the start of the championship. For the first time in history, matches are taking place outside of Russia – in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
