Warriors brutally beat Clippers
Jimmy Butler had 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Golden State Warriors vs. the Los Angeles Clippers had an easy win (98-79).
Stephen Curry added 19 points and 8 assists.. He made 7 of 15 shots on the night after four Warriors players scored 20 or more points to beat Memphis.
For the Clippers, James Harden scored 20 points before halftime.while Kawhi Leonard added 18 points and five rebounds in a game in which Golden State scored 13 points in the second quarter, followed by the Clippers with 14 points in the third.
Meanwhile, the reigning NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers, with the return of Joel Embiid, extended their winning streak in the NBA on Tuesday, adding their fifth and fourth wins in NBA games with two upsets, respectively.
Also on the day, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37 points against the New York Knicks, and Mexico’s Jaime Jaques, who led Miami to their third straight victory, had a great individual performance with 28 points.
There are four undefeated teams remaining this season. The Thunder and San Antonio Spurs in the West, the 76ers and Chicago Bulls in the East.
Oklahoma won their fifth game out of five with a 107-101 home win over the Sacramento Kings, paced by recent MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
SGA scored 31 points (14-of-26 shooting) and added nine rebounds and four assists against the Kings, while Domantas Sabonis had a double-double with 10 points and 18 rebounds.
OKC trailed by seven points with six minutes left, but finished the fourth quarter on a 17-4 run and crushed the Kings.
76ers comeback
The 76ers defeated the Wizards 139-134 in overtime in Washington, but they had to suffer even more.
They trailed by 17 points at the start of the fourth quarter, but managed to come back and force overtime with a final 10-0 run.
Tyrese Maxey scored nine of his 39 points in overtime, giving the Sixers their fourth win.
The former Kentucky product scored 25 points in 23 minutes and also had 10 assists in Embiid’s re-emergence. Quentin Grimes contributed 23 points off the bench.
Giannis defeats the Knicks
In Milwaukee, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 37 points and made 16 of 22 field goals against the New York Knicks at Fiserv Forum, leading the Bucks to a 121-111 victory.
Giannis added eight rebounds and seven rebounds for the Bucks, who got back to winning ways after suffering their first loss of the season against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
The Greek was assisted by Ryan Rollins, who had 25 points and connected on four triples. Additionally, the Bucks bench contributed 34 points to the Knicks’ 18 points.
Jalen Brunson scored 36 points on 14-of-25 shooting from the field, but Dominican Republic native Karl-Anthony Towns stalled, unable to exceed eight points (2-of-12 shooting) and also added 12 rebounds.
Jacks have third-best record in NBA
It was a big night for Mexican Jaime Jax Jr., who scored 28 points in the Miami Heat’s 144-117 win over the Charlotte Hornets at Caseya Center.
Jacks, in his third year in the NBA, scored 28 points on 9-of-14 field goals, 2-of-4 triples and 8-of-8 free line goals. This was the third best result of his career. His record is 41 points against the Wizards in 2023 and 31 points against the 76ers.
Spoelstra’s team celebrated three straight wins after opening the season with a loss to the Orlando Magic.
