Tserkovny about the protest against the result of the Lokomotiv-Kuban – Zenit match: “Such a mistake by the referees cannot be ignored and ignored”

Zenit General Director Alexander Tserkovny told Match TV that the club filed a protest against the result of the VTB League match against Lokomotiv-Kuban due to a gross error on the part of the table officials.

On Sunday, Zenit lost to Lokomotiv-Kuban in the away match of the VTB United League with a score of 80:89. Zenit had questions about the work of the table officials and problems with the game clock and the shot clock.

— We carried out actions strictly in accordance with the regulations of the VTB United League championship for the 2025/26 season. In our opinion, there was a gross mistake on the part of the table officials and, possibly, the match referees. I am sure that this cannot be left without appropriate attention and reaction in order to improve the quality of service and matches. Our main goal in this case is to ensure that this mistake is never repeated at our championship games. This is extremely important for all participants,” Church told Match TV.
