Italian basketball player in critical condition hospitalized after road accident
Italian basketball player Matteo Bettanti is in critical condition after a traffic accident, Sport Italia reports.
Bettanti was involved in a serious accident on Monday evening in Vigevano (Pavia). According to preliminary data, the man lost control and the car crashed into the wall of the store.
The impact was so strong that firefighters had to intervene. The car doors had to be broken down to free the two men.
Bettanti was immediately treated, intubated and airlifted to Niguarda Hospital in critical condition.
Bettanti is 21 years old, he plays for the team of the second strongest division of the Italian championship, Pallasanestro.
