American Eric Stevenson leaves Casademont Zaragoza
American shooting guard Eric Stevenson has left Casademont Zaragoza, four months after his arrival, the Aragón club reported in a statement on Tuesday.
Stevenson arrived in the Aragon capital in August this year after signing a contract that will keep him with the red team until 2027.
However, the club announced the termination of both contracts four months later, at which point the player was no longer a regular in the team’s plans.
The club thanked the player for his “dedication, professionalism and contribution” during his time in a Casademont shirt and wished him “the best of luck in his future personal and professional challenges”.
Upon his departure, the player said, “I would like to thank Marea Roja for the great support he gave me during my time in Zaragoza. I wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Stephenson spent five seasons in the NCAA through 2023 at schools including Wichita, Washington, South Carolina and West Virginia.
Since then, he has played for teams such as the Austin Spurs and Texas Legends in the G League, the NBA’s developmental league.
Stephenson enjoyed his first European adventure with Cholet, France in the 2023-24 season, and during the following season, Stephenson wore the jersey of the Capital City Go-Go, an affiliate of the Washington Wizards, and played in the NBA Summer League with the Miami Heat this summer.
