Two-time world champion, five-time European basketball champion Lyudmila Bazarevich died at the age of 87, reports the press service of the Russian Basketball Federation (RFB).

— One of the greatest basketball players of the 20th century, two-time world champion, five-time European champion, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR, died at the age of 87.

We express our sincere condolences to the family of Lyudmila Sergeevna,” the text of the message says.

Lyudmila Bazarevich is the mother of two-time world championship silver medalist and former head coach of the Russian national team Sergei Bazarevich.
